This cartridge is a subsonic load with an average velocity of 1040 fps out of a 16" 1:3" twist barrel. For stability on the 8.6, it is important to run a 1:3" twist barrel. One might call the 8.6 Blackout the big brother of the .300 Blackout with a .338 caliber projectile. Like the .300BLK, the 8.6BLK is an excellent caliber to suppress. We ran our Diamondback DB-10 with a Huxwrx suppressor and it was 100% ear safe, the action was louder than the muzzle blast. This cartridge is hand-loaded with precision and consistency down to the 0.002 grain of powder. Each piece of brass is uniformed for consistent neck tension. This 8.6BLK load is made with Starline brass and the Cutting Edge 340 Grain Maximus solid copper projectile. This is a tested and proven cartridge, with single digit standard velocity deviation and proven accuracy. At 200 yards, I shot multiple 1" three-shot groups out of a Diamondback DB-10!
